Luca-S, EMCCD Camera

 Luca-S is designed with speed in mind. At 37 full frames/sec, direct through a universal USB2.0 interface, the Luca^EM S interline EMCCD is a great digital microscope camera with which to upgrade performance in applications such as calcium signaling microscopy. Luca-S utilizes a 658x496 'interline frame transfer' EMCCD sensor, providing single photon detection sensitivity with unrestrained QE, in a compact, TE cooled camera platform.

Luca represents a new performance standard in 'workhorse' cameras. Operate EM gain off for conventional CCD operation under brighter conditions – turn on the EM gain when the photons become scarce.
