Introducing Nikon's New A2LA Calibration Laboratory
Nikon is now offering A2LA Accredited Calibration Services to our end user customers for CNC Video Measuring Systems and other industrial inspection and measuring systems.
On June 29, 2009, the Nikon Elgin Illinois Calibration Station became an accredited Calibration Laboratory. This accreditation covers the specific instrument calibrations listed on the agreed scope of accreditation, as posted on www.a2la.org.
The Nikon Calibration Laboratory meets with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025-2005 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. In addition, the laboratory’s management system also meets the principles of ISO 9001:2008.
The types of equipment that Nikon will service and calibrate are:
- Profile Projectors and Optical comparators
- Inspection and Measuring Microscopes
- Metallurgical Microscopes utilizing reticle or software imaging measurement
- CNC Video Measuring Systems which are sometimes called “Vision Systems”
Consider what Nikon has to offer:
- Over 60 years experience in the calibration of dimensional measuring equipment.
- Factory trained technicians are qualified to install, service, and repair your equipment.
- Nikon uses the proper tools (for example, low expansion glass standards with a coefficient expansion of 0.05x10-6, providing the lowest uncertainties on our calibration services).
- Accredited calibration services are available for instruments located in the USA, Puerto Rico, and selected International locations.
Why choose Nikon for your measuring instrument calibration services?
- Nikon instrument calibrations often include general preventative maintenance. This will help to keep your instrument operating within original factory specifications. Since Nikon technicians receive the latest service and technical bulletins as well as ongoing proficiency testing and training from factory engineers, they can quickly recognize and correct any poor performance issues.
- Because Nikon keeps critical service parts in stock, lengthy delays due to rescheduling, follow-up service or ordering parts are minimized.
