ShapeGrabber Ai310 and Ai810 3-D laser scanner inspection and measurement systems (distributed by Nikon Instruments) utilize advanced laser-based line scanning technology that allows the inspector to generate a complete 3-D virtual model of a part so that critical inspection and measurements can be made. Both the Ai310 and Ai810 are easier to use than traditional coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and are ideal for measuring complex shapes which, up until now, have been too time consuming, costly, or simply impossible to measure.
